About the Venue
The conference will be held in the beautiful Crowne Plaza Redondo Beach & Marina Hotel, which is only 7 miles (11.2 km) away from the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The location is only steps from the Redondo Beach and the bike path that runs along the South Bay in Los Angeles. Also within walking distance is a marina that offers opportunities for fishing, sailing, and free outdoor concerts. The marina has many restaurants, a water park, and seal flocks.
We have negotiated discounted rates for the conference hotel. The discounted rates can be booked starting from 06/15/2009 until 08/02/2009 08/14/2009.

The sites http://www.unitedstatesvisas.gov & http://travel.state.gov have information about obtaining a visa for those traveling to the United States. Both sites have links to websites for U.S. embassies and consulates worldwide. The embassy and consulate websites have very helpful information about procedures, timelines, communities served, required documentation, and fees.
International registrants should be particularly aware and careful about visa requirements, and should plan travel well in advance. All visa inquiries must be handled by ACM HQ.
Please send your request for a letter in support of a visa application to firstname.lastname@example.org include your name, mailing address, and fax number, as well as the name of the conference you are attending, in this case, K-CAP 2009. (Authors of papers/posters should also include the title. Please note that ACM does not issue formal “letters of invitation” to any of its conferences).
