Call for Posters & Demos KCAP 2025

The 13th International Conference on Knowledge Capture (K-CAP 2025) invites submissions for its Posters and Demos session. This session provides a unique opportunity for researchers and practitioners to showcase early-stage research, innovative prototypes, and practical applications related to knowledge representation, machine learning, human-computer interaction, and ethics in AI. We encourage submissions that present new ideas, preliminary results, or demonstrate systems that push the boundaries of knowledge capture.

Topics of interest

Submissions are welcome on all topics relevant to Knowledge Capture, including but not limited to, the following topics:

  • Knowledge acquisition, extraction, and modeling
  • Ontologies and knowledge graphs
  • Machine learning for knowledge capture
  • Human-in-the-loop knowledge systems
  • Interactive knowledge capture
  • Explainable AI and knowledge
  • Ethical considerations in knowledge systems
  • Applications of knowledge technologies in various domains (e.g., healthcare, education, industry)

Submissions Guidelines

  • Poster & Demo Submissions, Authors should submit an extended abstract (up to 2 page, not including references) describing a research position or trajectory, late breaking results, research notes, negative results, or demonstrations of tools, applications, or frameworks.
  • Demo Submissions:, The paper should link to a short video (up to 5 minutes) showcasing the demo.

All submissions must be in English and formatted according to the CEUR-ART template (1-column format)

All submissions to K-CAP should be made should be made electronically through EasyChair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=kcap2025.

We encourage authors to embrace Open Science best practices by providing access to the data and code used in their demonstrations or research, where applicable.

Important Dates

  • Abstract submission: September 26th, 2025
  • Author notification: October 10th, 2025
  • Conference dates: December 10-12, 2025
All deadlines are midnight AoE (Anywhere on Earth).

Review Criteria

Submissions will be reviewed based on their novelty, technical soundness, relevance to K-CAP, clarity of presentation, and potential for stimulating discussion during the session. For demos, the maturity and interactivity of the system will also be considered.
